WFD at Summer NAMM 2012 - Who's in?

Hi all,

I don't think we've had an official confirmation that there will be a WFD contest at Summer NAMM 2012 in Nashville, but I thought I'd start a thread about it anyway. If the event does happen, who will definitely be there? Who hopes to make it?

Barring some unforeseen injury, I'll almost certainly be there if the event is organized. I'm aiming to break Matt Smith's traditional-grip record of 1132. It may not actually happen, of course, but this is at least a fun project for me before I start law school in the fall.

Just wondering who I'll see in Nashville if everything falls into place!

Yea, Like every year it get in this talking stage (money i guess?) WFD last year was such a HUGE HIT, I would be shocked if NAMM didn't do it again. I have been shocked before though.

But anyway are you coming ? It's been predicted for years you are the guy to beat. You can win it all right?

This was one of the questions I came in to ask. Haven't been to the new board, really nice, but yea i was gonna ask if wfd finals werestill on for nashville this summer ? Daniel I remember seeing a video of you and matt smith and maybe 1-2 others in a hotel room at wfd really clowning it up. Do you have a link to that video, it was crazy stuff.

Finally words official!!
Well I know ill be there (since the convention center is right around the block from my house) ) Joey, I know you probably dont know for sure if you can make it but ill just go ahead and say "cant wait to see ya over here"! lol This summer namm sounds like its gonna be a blast if everyone can make it. Just think of all the greats who could make it like Rice, Grosset, Joey, Okomoto, and maybe Luke Harrison (if he can find a way to get to the states by then) all in the same building! )

For anyone interested, I've dropped traditional grip. Just wasn't working out for me, even after a few solid months of practice. Matt's 1132 seems even more impressive now!

I switched back to matched grip about a week ago. Already my scores are about where they were when I peaked with traditional, lol. Hard to know what my ceiling will be with only a little over a month left to practice. I'm being super careful to avoid injury this time.

They will only allow me in on July 14. So after a very rushed warmup, I'll be competing !

I heard that last years FEET competitor/Winner had a hard time to get his warmup gear in. Will I be able to get my Axis pedals in to warmup?
